Description of Work: 2025 Landscape Maintenance (Various Locations) Contract Proposal for Services: Perform landscape maintenance and other miscellaneous items of work at various locations throughout the Village of Plainfield including mowing, Spring and Fall cleanup, bed care and mulching, pruning and shearing, fertilization and weed control. Please contact the Village of Plainfield (815) 436-3577 (Arlan Schattke) for additional information. To be considered for the contract, a Contractor must have a minimum of three (3) years previous municipal experience. The Village of Plainfield is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Proposal prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. Following contract award by the Plainfield Village Board, a Performance Bond will be required from the selected contractor(s) in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total cost of the proposal. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive technicalities. Unless the Proposals are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive contractor.
