Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upona national or state bank in anamount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the Owner, ora bid bond in the same amountfrom a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder willenter into a contract and execute performance and payment bondswithin fifteen (15) days after notice of award of Contract to him.Such bid guarantee shall be madepayable to LITTLE ROCK PORT AUTHORITY. The successful bidder mustfurnish a performance, payment,and maintenance bond upon theform provided in the amount ofone hundred per cent (100%) ofthe contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansasto act as surety, or other surety orsureties acceptable to the Owner.Bids must remain in effect for90 days after the bid openingdate. Within 90 days from the bid date, the Owner may award thecontract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder or reject any orall bids for the project. The LITTLE ROCK PORT AUTHORITY reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waiveirregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the LITTLE ROCK PORTAUTHORITY, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
