Renovation of an educational facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The SE12 Generator Controls & Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Upgrade project will replace the existing aging UPS and ATS equipment with modern, and more efficient models to ensure the BCIT will continue to have access to uninterrupted power supply in the event of a grid outage and keep essential systems online for staff and students. Supporting infrastructure is also in need of upgrading to ensure the new equipment will perform as per design. The scope of work includes supplying and installing HVAC and security-related electrical conduit to ensure the longevity of the new electrical equipment at BCIT. As part of this project, upgrades to the existing HVAC systems will also be carried out and an additional two units are specified to provide sufficient cooling capacity to support the new electrical infrastructure.
