Contractor That Will Perform This Job Will Have to Have All Work Completed and Equipment Removed From the State Fairgrounds at Least 2 Weeks Prior to the Start of the North Dakota State Fair, July 18th, 2025. If the Awarded Bidder Cannot Meet This Timeline There is an Option to Start This Project After the State Fair Which is Completed July 26th, 2025. Any Work Following the North Dakota State Fair Would Need to Be Completed Prior to Winter. Payment Will Be Made Within 30 Days Upon Completion and Satisfactory Inspection (Net 30). Replace the existing built-up roof (BUR) on the East side of the building with a new ethylene-propylenediene-monomer (EPDM) roof. Approximate area: 30,900 square feet (contractor to field verify prior to bidding). Demolish and dispose of existing hot asphalt BUR roof covering and base flashing. Existing insulation and equipment curbs are to remain in place. Remove and dispose of existing parapet caps and copings. Remove BUR expansions joints and fill with insulation as required. Install new fully-adhered 60-mil, non-reinforced EPDM membrane (black color) over mechanicallyattached, 1/2" cover board. Design system for 115 mph basic/90 mph design wind speed. Flash into all curbs, equipment, parapets, and any other items requiring flashing, noted or otherwise. Provide counterflashing, termination bars, and sealant against adjacent vertical wall construction. Install new shop-fabricated parapet caps and copings in gauge, material, and finish to match existing. Contractor to protect existing construction from damage and shall correct/replace work damaged by construction activities. Contractor shall also maintain a weather-tight roof during construction activities and take appropriate protective action to ensure protection of the building and interior construction in the case of wet weather during course of construction. Contractor is required to visit the project sire prior to submitting a bid and will solely be responsible for providing a complete installation necessary for the roof conditions present, equipment present, and compatible with the construction and materials in the work area.
