The Project includes the following Work: Base Bid: o Approximately 960 lineal feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main including all appurtenances, fittings, and services. o Approximately 800 linear feet of roadway reconstruction including associated removals, intersections, concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveways, dense graded base, 4-inch asphaltic pavement, traffic control, manhole adjustments, and sawcutting. o All other surface, grading, erosion control, and turf restoration work. Bid Alternate A: o Bid Alternate A is a water utility material replacement bid alternate. This alternate replaces proposed ductile iron water main with PVC C900 water main and 1-inch copper water services with 1-inch HDPE water services. Bid Alternate A also includes the addition of tracer wire with all appurtenances including grounding rods and terminal boxes, and service saddles. The anticipated substantial completion date is 90 calendar days after project start, or October 10, 2025, whichever comes first. The anticipated final completion date is within 18 calendar days of substantial completion, or October 28, 2025. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The project Woodcrest Drive Reconstruction is funded in part by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP). Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
