In the last decade, the University has made significant improvements to the campus infrastructure and building inventory that house academic functions, student activities, and athletic events for the Universitys faculty and students. However, the Service Sector, home to Facilities Operations, Capital Projects, Central Receiving, Postal Services, Lands & Grounds, a vehicle service station, materials storage, and other offices under the Facilities Group, remains largely untouched by improvements. This area, in the northwest corner of the University, serves as the Gateway for visitors entering from the west, and for alumni and guests attending activities on the athletic fields or at the Ryan Center. This project will enhance and reorganize the facilities within the service sector for more efficient, effective operations. It involves the completion of the Facilities Service Sector Master Plan. This Master Plan orients buildings to create an enclosed compound that limits access to authorized personnel and screens the activities from visitors and guests that travel through the area. This project is included in the State's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
