To provide mowing, trimming and removal of any accumulated litter/garbage for documented areas attached to this bid request. Service to be provided for calendar year 2025 between the dates of March 17, 2025 to November 30, 2025. The Contractor or Subcontractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials necessary to handle the identified tasks listed in this bid request. The Village of Morton will monitor job performance and address any issues directly with the Contractor's primary contact. All areas to be contracted for mowing/maintenance have been documented and are included with this bid request. Areas are measured in square feet and include any specified maintenance requirements included for your estimation needs. All bidders shall be responsible for reviewing areas in the field prior to bidding to fully understand locations, terrain and any other factors which may affect bidding. Any discrepancies found during bidding shall be promptly communicated to the Village of Morton so that revisions can be made if necessary. Use the attached Village of Morton mowing bid application which includes a COMPLETE list of at least three (3) references which may be contacted by the Village of Morton. 3. It is the intent of the Village of Morton to award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the bidding requirements. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive information or technicalities. 4. Subcontractors shall be allowed provided the contracted Contractor maintains 51% of the work by volume throughout the Contract. All subcontractors shall be listed on the bid documents and prior to Award. Any changes in subcontractors after Award shall be approved by the Village of Morton. 5. The Contractor shall be legally considered an independent contractor and neither the contractor nor its employees shall, under any circumstances, be considered servants or agents of the Village of Morton. The Village of Morton shall be at no time legally responsible for any negligence or other wrongdoing by the Contractor, its servants or agents. The Village of Morton shall not withhold any federal or state income taxes, Social Security tax or any other amounts for benefits to the Contractor. Further, the Village of Morton shall not provide to the Contractor any insurance coverage or other benefits, including Worker's Compensation. 6. The Contractor shall have and maintain a zero-tolerance drug policy. Payment shall be made monthly after work is complete for all areas provided the Contractor submits their invoice on a Village approved template. All invoices shall be emailed to Zack Davis (zdavis@morton-il.gov) and to accounts payable at ap@morton-il.gov.
