removing existing fire alarm system and installing a new (non-proprietary) addressable fire alarm system for Fire Station 61 and Station 64. Fire Station 61 2195 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45434 Please submit any questions by email by 3:30 pm on 02/25/2025. No phone calls please. All questions must be submitted in writing and sent to the following address: jschroeder2@beavercreektownship.org Evaluate the existing wiring for compatibility - retain if applicable. Remove the existing fire alarm system components in the building. Remove the existing smoke detectors (10) within the roof structure of the station's Apparatus Bay. Install a cover plate on the associated junction boxes. Remove only the existing fire alarm system wiring associated with the smoke detector and annunciation device loop in the Apparatus Bay and replace with new. Install a new (Non-Proprietary) addressable fire alarm system. The Township prefers that the new (non-proprietary) fire alarm system is similar in components and technology to the recently installed fire alarm system (2024) at Fire Station 63, 3100 Kemp Rd. for service and maintenance consistency. Clean up and remove all debris from the site when completed. The bidder must provide a schedule for completion of work Fire Station 64 3633 Indian-Ripple Rd. The bidder must provide a schedule for completion of work Beavercreek Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids for any reason, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Beavercreek Township shall have the right to delete a unit item from the bid if necessary or proper in the sole determination of the Township. The contractor shall take out and maintain during the life of the contract full insurance coverage. Coverage shall include, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Worker's Compensation Coverage Statutory Coverage B $1,000,000.00 2. Comprehensive General Liability Public Liability -- Each Person $1,000,000.00 -- Each Accident $2,000,000.00 3. Property Damage Each Accident $250,000.00 Aggregate $500,000.00 The contractor shall deliver to Beavercreek Township certificates of insurance evidencing the coverage(s) indicated. Such certificates shall be furnished prior to commencement of the service and at any necessary renewal dates thereafter during the life of the agreement. Failure to provide certificates of insurance coverage may be considered a material breach of the contract. 1.7 Performance Bond The vendor agrees to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount, due upon contract signing. The cost of the performance bond will be the responsibility of the awarded firm. 1.8 Compliance with Laws In connection with the furnishing of supplies or performance of work under the contract, the vendor agrees to maintain all licenses, permits, liability insurance, worker's compensation insurance and comply with all other standards and regulations required by Federal, State or County statue, or ordinances and rules during the performance of any contact between the vendor and the Township. The vendor shall be certified by the State of Ohio to install fire alarms and shall further provide copies of the same with the vendor's proposal. Any such requirement specifically set forth in any contract document between the vendor and the Township shall be supplementary to this and not in substitution thereof. Any proposal over $75,000.00 will be subject to Prevailing Wage. During the performance of this contract, the vendor agrees as follows: 1. The Vendor/Firm will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, creed, color, sex., age, national origin, place of birth, physical handicap or any other legally protected class. 2. Any selection made because of this notice will be made without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin, place of birth, physical handicap or any other legally protected class. 3. Vendors shall not offer any gratuities, favors, or anything of monetary value to any official, employee, or agent of Beavercreek Township for the purpose of influencing consideration of this proposal. Beavercreek Township reserves the right to undertake such investigation as it deems necessary to evaluate the proposers and to evaluate their submittals. Beavercreek Township reserves the right to request additional information as part of this selection process. Beavercreek Township also reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, to waive technical or legal deficiencies, to proceed or not with any proposal or process, and to negotiate such terms and conditions of any proposal, including cost, or contract that may be in the best interest of the Township. The Township reserves the right to terminate or amend this process at any time.
