Site work for a water / sewer project in Killeen, Texas. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
24-inch water transmission main along Chaparral Road and Highway 195 between the Chaparral Pump Station and Stagecoach Road. This transmission main is needed to convey water from the Chaparral Pump Station into the Upper Pressure Plan. It also provides transmission capacity to and from the proposed Highway 195 Tank. This is Project 2W in the 2019 Water and Wastewater Master Plan. Although this project was part of the FY 2022 CIP, additional funding is necessary to offset funding moved from this project and to offset construction cost increases This project is included in the city's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of September 24, 2025, the project is in design. The construction contract will be in the city council meeting for approval on October 21, 2025. The firm construction timeline has not been released. Funding has been allocated. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
