This project consists of, but is not limited to, the replacement of a 60' x 24" CSP culvert on McCormick Road, approximately 1,694 ft north of Cherry Lane. The culvert location and base plan & profile are provided in Exhibit A. This culvert conveys the wetland at the Blackbird Farm subdivision pond from the west to Jordan Creek to the east. The culvert replacement will be performed under the permit conditions of Section 401 (IDEM) and Section 404 (USACE). Both permits are included in Exhibit C. The replacement will occur under a maximum consecutive two week road closure between May 19, 2025 and July 28, 2025. Bids must be entered upon the bid form and the State Board of Accounts Contractor's Bid for Public Work Form 96 (Revised 2013) submitted in triplicate with the bid and non-collusion affidavit properly executed and must comply with the statutes of Indiana and with the rules and regulations of the State Board of Accounts of Indiana. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope marked "McCormick Road Culvert Replacement Project". Forms are available online or at the City Engineer's Office, 222 N Chauncey Ave, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. The bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price made in favor of the City of West Lafayette, Indiana, which amount shall accrue to and become the property of the City should the Bidder, awarded the contract, fail to enter into the required written agreement and secure same with the required one hundred percent (100%) performance, payment and guarantee bond. Wage rates shall not be less than the common construction wage as determined pursuant to IC 5-16-7-1 et seq. as amended. . Bids remain in effect for sixty (60) days. The City of West Lafayette reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities of bidding. The lowest & most responsive bid will go before the Board Of Public Works and Safety for acceptance on March 18, 2025.
