All work shall be performed per the plans and specifications prepared by HWC Engineering. The scope of work consists of the construction of a 10- foot wide, ADA compliant, asphalt trail west of State Road 229/Sycamore Street. The trail will have thickened asphalt between Water Street and Vine Street due to occasional vehicular traffic. Concrete aprons will connect the trail to street crossings and the existing bridge at the north terminus. Concrete rest nodes with surface mounted benches, litter receptacles and trail signage will be installed along the trail. A concrete path will connect the trail to the Maypole and be finished to match the existing stamped, colored concrete paving. A new storm sewer line with inlets and end sections will be installed by the existing basketball court. Two alternates have been identified, including 1) resurfacing of the existing basketball court, and 2) thickened asphalt trail for occasional vehicular traffic north of Vine Street.
