The City of Joliet, Illinois, does hereby invite sealed bids for 180,000 linear feet of Thermoplastic Pavement Markings, 7,000 linear feet of Modified Urethane Pavement Marking, 10,000 square feet of pavement marking removal, and 100 each raised reflective pavement markers. All bids must be tabbed to mark the Bid Bond, Schedule of Prices, Apprenticeship and Training Certification, and IDOT Certificate of Eligibility. An electronic copy of the entire submission on a USB flash drive must be included within the bid packet. Bid results will be posted online, and emails sent out to those subscribed to the related RSS feed. To ensure timely delivery of emails related to this feed, please add iljoliet@public.govdelivery.com to your safe sender list. And must be marked clearly on the outside of the SEALED package with the Contract Number, Project Name, Date and Time of the Bid Opening, Company Name, Address, and Phone Number. If you choose to hand deliver your bid/proposal, it must be delivered to the Office of the City Clerk, located at the above address, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. and not on holidays observed by the City of Joliet. The City will not be responsible for deliveries outside of these hours. Receipt of your submittal in any location other than the Office of City Clerk does not constitute receipt. If you are using a delivery service, the fact that it was signed for by someone at City of Joliet does not constitute receipt. All bidders will be required to submit bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, payable to the City of Joliet. Bidders are required to be pre-qualified through Illinois Department of Transportation. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure their IDOT Certificate of Eligibility is included within the sealed bid packet. The City of Joliet's Local Qualified Bidder Ordinance does not apply to this contract. The successful bidder will be required to post performance security and to provide a Certificate of Insurance as set forth in the Invitation of Bid and the General Terms & Conditions. The Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) to the extent required by law and the City of Joliet Procurement Code (Section 2-430 - 2- 453) of the Code of Ordinances. The City of Joliet reserves the right to reject any and all bids, parts of any and all bids, or to waive technical errors or omissions in bids.
