The project consists of selective demolition services to dismantle a late 1800s gambrel roof barn structure (approximately 2,400 SF +) in a manner that would allow the Town to re-use the timber-frame superstructure members at a future date, and if deemed feasible, utilize salvaged timbers to reconstruct a same-sized barn at a future date and location as determined by the Town. The Town will obtain a separate contract for the required number of 40-foot storage containers to store the timbers and framing elements until their future use is determined. The Town anticipates the containers will be approximately 40' long x 9' high x 7.5 wide. The storage containers will be placed on the property where the barn is currently located. The bid form requests the number of storage containers the bidding contractor will need to store the materials being salvaged and saved for future reuse.
