All Contractors wishing to bid on this project must be pre-qualified with the School Board of Levy County. General Contractors must submit pre-qualification information no later than February 20, 2025. Pre-qualification statements, a copy ofthe Occupational License, a copy of the County and/or State Contractor's License, and a Certificate of Insurance containing both Worker's Compensation and General Liability are required to be pre-qualified. Re-Roof CKS Building 13 1. Re-roof Building using lifetime warranty architectural shingles 2. Remove all roofs covering including underlayment and drip edge. 3. Secure any sheathing not appropriately fastened and /or where original fasteners have failed. 4. Provide a cost per square foot for removal and replacement of damaged/ rotted roof sheathing (minimum replacement size 4' x 4') (16 sq. ft). 5. Provide a cost for the replacement of the damaged furring strip between the roof deck and sheathing. 6. Provide a cost price per each for installing squirrel guards over vent pipes. 7. Install manufacturer-approved roofing system (to all applicable building codes for this area) including but not limited to underlayments, starter strips, shingles, fasteners, and sealants. 8. Underlayment must be self-adhering/peel and stick. 9. Stainless steel roofing nails are required for this project. 10. Install new lead pipe flashings. 11. Install new drip edge and flashings (.032 aluminum of the same style and size as existing or pre-approved equal). 12. Install new base flashing and counter flashing on sidewalls (.032 aluminum of the same style and size as existing or pre-approved equal). 13. Remove and replace all existing ridge vents using a shingle-over vent. 14. All valleys will be closed cut/California cut. 15. Complete cleanup and magnetization for nail removal of the immediate work area. 16. Removal and disposal of all project-related debris. 17. The contractor must provide a copy of the contractor's workmanship warranty. 18. The contractor must be a certified installer of the manufacturer and provide a copy of the manufacturer's backed (minimal 20-year no dollar limit) workmanship and material warranty with the bid packet. 19. The contractor must provide a copy of the manufacturers installation instructions. 20.The contractor is responsible for applying for and obtaining all necessary permits and documentation through the school board's building official (NEFEC). The permit will be of no cost to the contractor. 21.Any questions, discrepancies, or alterations to the above specifications must be discussed with and approved, in writing, by the building official and the director of maintenance for the School Board of Levy County.
