The purpose of this Bid is to establish firm fixed pricing from qualified bidders to provide painting services at various sites for the School Board of St. Johns County, Florida (hereinafter referred to as "School Board" or "SJCSD") on an as needed basis. The Bidder will be responsible for meeting all specifications as outlined herein and on the Bid Price Sheet. Failure to comply with these requirements may be cause for Bid rejection or termination of award. This work will not involve lead-based paint removal or abatement. It may involve cleaning of lead-based paint, surface preparation on paint containing lead, and painting over surfaces with lead-based paint. The successful Bidder is responsible for supplying at its own expense, all supervision, labor, equipment, machines, tools, materials, transportation, and anything necessary to clean and prepare surface including patching, masking, sealing and finish painting of areas designated by an authorized SJCSD representative. Projects may be interior or exterior on diverse types of surfaces including doors and door frames and additional work as required. SJCSD makes no guarantee of a specific volume of work to be performed under this bid. The School Board of St. Johns County, Florida consists of more than 50,000 students and 6,000 employees. The School Board currently consists of 18 Elementary Schools, 9 K-8 Academies, 7 Middle Schools, 9 High Schools, 1 Technical College, 2 Alternative Schools, 1 Virtual School, and 3 Charter Schools. The purpose of this ITB is to obtain firm fixed pricing from qualified Bidders for painting services on an as needed basis.
