The project proposal includes removing the existing bridge and building a new structure in its place. The new bridge will feature wider travel lanes, new shoulders and sidewalks. The project includes safety enhancements and traffic flow improvements on the bridge and at adjacent intersections. Traffic will be detoured for up to 18 months as the new bridge is built. A temporary bridge will be built for pedestrians and cyclists.
