Renovation of a mixed-use development in El Dorado, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

A certified Bid Tabulation will be produced and distributed as quickly as is practical following the bid opening. A five percent (5%) corporate Bid Bond or a certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany all submitted bids on construction contracts that exceed $20,000.00 in accordance with ACA 22-9-203. Bidders must comply with all requirements of Contractors Licensing Laws ofthe State of Arkansas, Act 150 of 1965, as amended, and Arkansas Code 22­ 9-204 section 3.6(a). A Performance and Payment Bond, equal to the amount of the contract, and issued by a surety approved by the Owner and authorized to do business in the State of Arkansas will be required of the successful bidder. Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. 22-9-203, the Owner encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. Proposals which fail to comply fully with any provision of the Plans, Specifications and other Contract Documents will be considered invalid and will not receive consideration. The District may reject any and all bids and may reject a bid of any party who has failed to perform, been unfaithful and/or delinquent in any former relationship with the District. The District reserves the right to waive any irregularities or formalities in any solicitation or bid response. The District shall be the sole judge as to which bid is best and, in determining that fact, may consider the contractor's business integrity, financial resources, experience, facilities and/or capacity for performing the work. The "Performance and Payment Bond" will be in the amount equal to 100% ofthe contract price as security for the faithful performance ofthis contract price and for payment of all indebtedness for labor and materials furnished or performed in connection with this contract. The bond will be written by a surety company which is qualified and is authorized to do business in the State of Arkansas, according to A.C.A. 22-9-402(a)(b) and filing with said bond, his power of attorney as his authority. Construction shall commence on June 1,2025. Work may be permitted prior to June 1, 2025 as approved in advance by the Owner and Architect. To start the construction phase of this contract on June 1, 2025, and achieve Substantial Completion no later than August 1, 2025. Ifthe Project fails to achieve Substantial Completion within the required time, the Contractor hereby agrees to pay the sum of $500.00 per calendar day as liquidated damages for each day Final Completion is delayed.
