The Port of Tacoma (Port) and The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) are soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms qualified and interested in providing architectural services on an on-call basis. The Port will be the contracting agency for this contract and work under this contract may support either the Port of The Northwest Seaport Alliance in the South Harbor. Architectural services requested on an on-call basis may include providing building condition assessments, cost estimates, constructability reviews, preparation of plans and specifications, as well as other architectural services to support the design and construction of new and existing sites and structures. Additional services may be required depending on the needs of the Port/NWSA. There will be two qualified vendors selected, both to receive not to exceed contracts in total of $300,000 for Port of Tacoma and $300,000. for Northwest Seaport Alliance. The period of performance of the contracts is for (2) years from the execution of the contract or until the amount of the contract has been reached, whichever occurs first. At the sole option of the Port, the contract may be extended for up to (2) years at one (1) year intervals. The Port does not guarantee all disciplines of services will be used nor does the Port guarantee a specific volume of work under the contract(s). The successful respondent may be precluded from competing for, or participating in, subsequent contracts that are the direct result of or primarily generated by, the work performed under the contract resulting from this procurement. The selected firm will provide architectural services for various Port projects. The quantity and duration of projects will depend on the Port's requirements and needs for these services. The work may include, but is not limited to, the following tasks: o Condition Assessments (estimate of remaining service life and code compliance reviews,) investigation, analysis and recommendation(s) for repair/replacement of existing building envelope components including, but not limited to, roofs, windows, doors, gutters and siding. o Architectural design and related engineering services for new building construction, building renovations (interior or exterior), and building demolition o Preparation of estimates, schedules, plans and specifications for public works projects, tenant improvement projects and as otherwise requested o Provide support services in other disciplines as required to accomplish primarily architectural task orders, including but not limited to: Electrical; Mechanical; Cost Estimating; Surveying; Geotechnical; Regulated Building Materials Assessment; Other support services tasks as needed for the work. o Bidding Support Services o Construction Management Services o Record drawing production from contractor provided redlines o Cost estimates and schedules during various stages of project development o Peer and constructability review of design and bid document review and analysis o Field investigations and surveying. The Port reserves the right to negotiate changes to submitted SOQs and to change the Port's otherwise mandatory Contract form during negotiations. If the Proposer is awarded a contract and refuses to sign the attached Contract form, the Port may reject the Proposer from this and future solicitations for the same work.
