Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in North Venice, Florida. Working plans call for the construction of a 70,000-square-foot clubhouse / community center.
Plans consist of constructing a new 70,000-square-foot community center on four acres north of Laurel Nokomis School, near Interstate 75 in Venice, FL. The first floor would have a commercial kitchen, cafetorium and stage, multipurpose classrooms a reception area and a library/media center in the western portion of the center. A central atrium would separate that from the eastern portion of the center, which would include flex space available for multipurpose classrooms, dedicated rooms for science, technology engineering, art and math, as well as music, a sensory room for participants with autism, and a 10,000-square-foot collegiate sized gymnasium with men’s and women’s locker rooms. The second floor would program space and meeting rooms for other nonprofits. As of February 20, 2025, this project is in the design phase. An architect and general contractor have been selected. A construction timeline has not yet been determined.
