Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Brandon (The City), Mississippi will receive sealed bids from qualified bidders for the project identified as City of Brandon NRCS Erosion Control Project â RICHLAND CREEK STONEBRIDGE EWP DITCH PROJECT. The project includes stabilized embankments and drainage improvements as indicated in the drawings, specifications, and other contract documents. The above general outline of features of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all parts, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. The contract time for the work included in this contract is Sixty (60) Calendar Days. The Contract will be subject to liquidated damages of five hundred dollars ($500) per calendar day for each day in default after the stipulated completion date. The contract time will begin on the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. Each bidder must deposit with his proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid payable to the City of Brandon as bid security. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount awarded. Neel-Schaffer, Inc. is the Engineer for this project.
