No definite date for rebid.** Marlboro County Government invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the resurfacing and conversion of two existing tennis courts into four pickleball courts at the Marlboro Golf and Recreation Complex. The project aims to enhance recreational opportunities for the community and provide a modern facility for the growing sport of pickleball. Remove the fence and posts from around court one completely and court two remove the fence from the ends. Leave undisturbed the fence joining Maintenance yard. Remove court surfaces on both courts to the subbase level, including existing nets and anchor posts. Inspect subbase material for suitability, Subbase should be 6" compacted gravel. If subbase is not acceptable, the subbase area shall be excavated to the depth of 6" and new ABC subbase shall be installed and compacted. After subbase is determined to be suitable and graded, compacted a 3" layer of hot applied type 9.5 b asphalt will be applied. Two coats of a resurfacer shall be applied to the asphalt surface followed by two coats of the court color surface. Two new nets with anchors and posts will be installed per court. The new playing surface for two courts will be 80' long by 59' wide (4,720) sq.ft. or a total of (9,440) sq. ft. total area for both courts. There will be a total of four new pickleball courts Area around new courts will have base removed, topsoil fill and Bermudagrass sod placed outside of paved court. New 6' high fence shall be installed around each of the courts with one gate per court area for a total of four gates Base Bid will include everything but the subbase that will be added as alternate since the condition is unknown at this time. In this item the excavation, removal from site , replacement with ABC stone , grading and compaction will be included. The project includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: - Site Preparation: - Inspect and assess the current condition of the tennis courts. - Prepare the site for resurfacing - Resurfacing: - Remove old surface materials - Subbase should be 6" compacted gravel. If subbase is not acceptable, the subbase area shall be excavated to the depth of 6" and new ABC subbase shall be installed and compacted.
