It is further intended that the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and terms of the contract. Questions shall be submitted in writing no later than Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 12:00 PM. This project includes clearing and grubbing of the future AWOS critical area, and construction of a new access road within the Airport property, south of the Runway 6-24. Proposed wetland clearing is approx. 3 acres. No grubbing is to be performed within the wetland area. Proposed clearing and grubbing in uplands is approx. 16 acres. Cleared tree debris hauling operations to be performed only when the runway is closed. The new access road includes construction of approximately 2,900 SY NCDOT Aggregate Base Course (ABC) along with installation of geotextile fabric. Part of the access road is within the Runway 6-24 ROFZ which requires airport closure. The project shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work required to satisfactorily complete the AWOS Critical Area Clearing and Grubbing project. Items of work include erosion control, wetland clearing, clearing and grubbing, earthwork, grading, aggregate base course, seeding, mulching etc.
