Renovation of an educational facility in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project involves various upgrades and replacements to existing building control systems, including the removal and disposal of outdated equipment such as pneumatics controls, wall plate temperature sensors, thermostats, exhaust fan starters, and control valve actuators. New perimeter heat controls to be installed include wall plate temperature sensors, thermoelectric actuators, control valves, balancing valves, and associated trim, as specified in design details. Additionally, electrical upgrades include the installation of new relays, low voltage transformers, and circuit breakers to power the new control systems. Conduit runs for power and communication wire feeds and transformers will be concealed as much as possible, with exposed conduit primed by the contractor. The project also includes modifications to the exhaust fan system, integrating new controls such as reverse-acting thermostats, HOA starters, and damper actuators.
