The proposed contract is removal of all salt cedar (Tamarix) through mechanical control to reduce fuel loads and improve wildlife habitat quality on 200 acres on the Beaver River Wildlife Management Area in Beaver County. Extract and stack Salt Cedars: o Cedars must be extracted, and root ball pulled out of ground. o Cedars must be stacked in piles of a minimum of 15 trees. o Cedars must be stacked at least 200 feet from roost trees and 200 feet from existing fences as designated by the area biologist. o Standing dead cedars must also be extracted and stacked. o Cedars on slopes greater than 20% are not required to be cut. These areas will not be identified by ODWC prior to work beginning but will be the responsibility of the contractor to determine. Work must be completed by June 1, 2025. There will be No bid bond for this project. In submitting the bid, it is understood that the right is reserved by the State of Oklahoma to reject any and all bids, and it is agreed that this bid may not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date bids are due. Work is to start within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
