Site work and new construction of a clubhouse / community center in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 3,000-square-foot clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
The District of Columbia Department of General Services ("DGS" or the "Department"), on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of the District of Columbia, is issuing this Invitation for Bids ("IFB") to engage a Contractor (the "Contractor") to provide all necessary services, supervision, permits, labor, supplies, equipment, and materials to perform Construction Services for New Department of Aging and Community Living ("DACL") Ward 8 Senior Wellness Center (the "Project") located at 1700 Q Street, SE Washington, DC 20020. The Contractor shall complete the Project's requirements in accordance with Section C, Specifications/Scope of Work Statement ("SOW") and Attachment J.1, Specifications and Drawings, and other associated attachments of this IFB The Contractor will be required to construct the 3,000 Square Feet-base building, ground-up, new Ward 8 Senior Wellness Center where seniors can congregate for recreation and general well-being. The new Center will be constructed within the existing Kramer Middle School Parking lot grounds with support spaces that promote senior wellness activities, such as a gym, meeting rooms, and educational space. Last Day for Questions: February 26, 2025, 2:00pm If a prospective bidder has any questions relative to this solicitation, the prospective Bidder shall submit the questions in writing. The Department will not consider any questions received after the mentioned date and time. Online - Q&A Substantial Completion Date: The Project shall be substantially complete no later than August 28, 2026. The Department reserves the right to accept/reject any/all bids resulting from this IFB. The CO may reject all bids or waive any minor informality or irregularity in bids received whenever it is determined that such action is in the best interest of the District. the secondary round of Questions and Answers is hereby extended to April 11, 2025. Solicitation Requests for Information (RFIs) (Round 2) shall be submitted no later than April 11, 2025 at 2:00pm.
