Campus-Wide Classroom Upgrades Summer 2025 (FY26) Project Description/Base Bid: The project is for a remodel of up to 11 existing classrooms at various locations around campus. The classrooms are listed below with a general summary of the work to be performed in each room. HPER 114A: New lighting, saw-cut concrete slab to add conduit pathways, patch ceiling, patch carpet as needed, new whiteboards, new paint. BNR 278: Remove existing VCT flooring, new carpet, remove and reinstall teaching console. GEOL 405: New lighting, ceiling repair, AV/IT pathways, new carpet, drywall patching, new paint. NFS 248A: New lighting, new ceiling tiles, AV/IT pathways, new carpet, drywall patching, new paint, new whiteboards. Old Main 227: Remove existing teaching console, patch carpet, patch drywall, patch wood trim at wall and window. Old Main 301: New lighting, ceiling and wall drywall repair, new carpet, new paint. Old Main 326: New lighting, AV/IT pathways, new carpet, drywall repair, new paint. NFS 201: New lighting, AV/IT pathways, patch existing drywall, new drywall, new carpet, new paint, new whiteboard. NFS 202: New lighting, replace fixed table countertops, patch drywall, new ceiling tiles, new carpet, new paint. FAV 262 and 264: New lighting, AV/IT pathways, patch drywall, new carpet, new paint. Liquidated Damages: $500/day A bid bond properly signed by the contractor and a qualified surety, on the AIA Document A310 –2010 Bid Bond, or equivalent, in the amount of 5% of the bid, shall accompany the bid submission. USU FPD&C will provide the contract (Contractor Agreement) for this project to the successful bidder. The contract time will be as indicated in the bid. The successful bidder, simultaneously with the execution of the Contract Agreement, will be required to furnish a performance bond on the AIA Document A312 – 2010 Performance or equivalent. These fully executed/signed bonds are to be emailed to Amanda.thomson@usu.edu. The performance bonds shall be for an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum and secured from a company that meets the requirements specified in the requisite forms. Any bonding requirements for subcontractors will be specified in the Supplementary General Conditions. USU FPD&C reserves the right to reject any or all Bids. A Cashier’s Check Cannot Be Used as a Substitute for a Bid Bond.
