Reference Number 0000376959 Project consists of various improvements to the Fluoride feed system at the Rice Road Water Treatment Plant. Improvements include new bulk storage tanks, new day storage tanks, new transfer pumps and new transfer piping in both the bulk storage building and day storage building Job Location 20 Rice Road, Schenectady, NY 12306 The work site is located at the Rice Road Well Field & Water Treatment Plant. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work as described in these Specifications and as indicated on the Drawings including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Installation of 3 new submersible vertical turbine well pumps including discharge heads, motors, variable frequency drives (VFD), and associated piping. Installation of 3 new prefabricated steel well house buildings, including interior piping, flow meters, controls, HVAC equipment, and electrical components. Installation of 3 new prefabricated, steel meter vaults including interior piping, flow meters, controls, HVAC equipment, and electrical components. Yard piping improvements including demolition of existing piping sections, and installation of new ductile iron water distribution piping, re-routing and installation of new chemical feed lines with new injection ports and leak detection, and a precast concrete valve vault. Site improvements including asphalt replacement, topsoil and seeding, and modifications to the existing flood berm. Electrical modifications and installation of a new pump motor and VFD for existing Well House No. 10. Electrical upgrades including installation of a new electrical service, substation, and associated components for Well House Nos. 10, 14 and 15. The Project is being funded through the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC). This will require a 20% combined MWBE participation goal. In addition, the project will require Lobbying Certification, American Iron Steel requirements, and compliance with Davis Bacon Wage Rates.
