Site work and paving for a civil project in Mapleton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
The work involves the rehabilitation of a cast-in-place concrete T-Beam bridge with a 9.15 m clear span and 7.7 m width. The structure is located on Sideroad 16, approximately 1.5 km south of Wellington Road 8, over the Hesslink Municipal Drain in the Township of Mapleton. The Work includes the rehabilitation of an existing 9.15 m span (+/-) cast-in-place concrete T-Beam bridge, which includes the following: o Installation of erosion and sediment control measures; o Construction of a two new cast-in-place concrete girders and concrete distribution slab; o Isolated concrete removals, repairs, and modifications to the existing concrete superstructure and substructure; o Granular backfill of the structure; o Management of the watercourse during construction to allow the work to be completed in-the-dry; o Approximately 90+/- metres of roadworks, including excavation and grading works, granular placement, and regrading of the roadside embankment to achieve a stable embankment; o Supply and placement of large stone scour protection adjacent to the structure wingwalls; o Restoration of the site upon completion of the Work.
