Clearly mark the e-mail ''Questions for RFB # 25-005-33 - Peshtigo River Streambank Protection and Enhancement.'' Marinette County is seeking bidsfor stabilizing and improving the streambank of the Peshtigo River along what is known as "Hemlock Curve" north of Badger Road. Legal description of the location is NE1/4 SW1/4 and NW1/4 SE1/4 Section 32 T30N R23E, Peshtigo, WI. The site is approximately 1,540 feet of streambank. Project includes purchasing, hauling, and placing rock riprap, cobblestone, coarse woody debris (root wads), live stakes and seeding. Prices are to include any setup or miscellaneous fees All work must be completed during time period of July 15 - February 28 according to site and permit conditions. Contractor to field verify all site access routes and provide a site access plan indicating needed improvements and any required clearing, prior to the start of construction. Due to the sensitive environmental nature of the site clearing is to be kept to the minimum necessary. All access improvements are the responsibility of the contractor. Erosion and sediment controls are also the responsibility of the contractor. Rip-rap stone is to be furnished and installed by contractor. Cobble stone will be provided by the owner, contractor is to deliver and install cobble stone. Acquisition of coarse woody debris, as detailed in the plans, is anticipated to be from up to 3 separate sources: at the project site, on Wisconsin DNR property within 1.5 miles of the project site and from contractor identified sources. Contractor is to coordinate with Owner's Representative to identify, acquire, deliver to the site and stockpile coarse woody debris at the project site. Quantities anticipated from each potential source are listed on Bid Sheet. Marinette County is not liable for any equipment damage or breakdowns incurred during or associated with this contract. See Attachment G for Construction Specifications. See Attachment K for more detailed location and project information. Sub-Contracting. Successful bidder will not sub-contract any work covered under this contract without prior written permission from the County Conservationist. Bid security shall be a bond provided by a surety company authorized to do business in Wisconsin, the equivalent in cash or otherwise supplied in a form satisfactory to the County. Bid security shall be in an amount equal to at least ten percent of the amount of the bid. Upon execution of the Contract, the Contractor shall pay for and furnish to the Owner a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of Contractor's obligations under the Contract which is in accordance with the specific provisions of Wisconsin law relating to such Bonds. Such Bonds shall be provided by a Surety licensed to do business in the State of Wisconsin. Marinette County reserves the right to make changes to the project. Any changes in the scope of services shall be mutually agreed upon in writing by the Vendor and the County. Alternate Bid Items Alternate 1 - Replace Coarse wood debris stone anchoring with Alternate anchoring: Includes use of cable anchoring for coarse woody debris as shown in the project plans. Full compensation for all anchors, cable, connectors required to furnish and install cable anchoring system.
