Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center. Currently, our studio is set up so that there is a large studio room, a control room that doubles as a classroom, two editing bays, an equipment closet, a terminal equipment room (rack room), and an office. The facility was designed in the early 2000s with much of the gear being original to the studio when it was constructed in 2004. There was a moderate upgrade to the studio in 2017 where the studio was upgraded to HD and we bought new cameras, a new production switcher and several other items. Unfortunately, during this upgrade process most of the old equipment and cable was not removed so we currently have thousands of feet of unused cable under the floor and unused equipment in our racks. The intent of this solicitation is to award an agency specific contract. Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions of this RFP and any addenda issued hereto. Any contract resulting from this RFP will be a one-time equipment purchase and installation with recurring maintenance agreements for years 2 - 4. This maintenance agreement will be purchased on a yearly basis with the option by Western Carolina University to extend or cancel prior to the upcoming year. A sixty (60) day notice will be submitted prior to upcoming year with WCU's decision to extend or cancel.
