Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 02/24/2025 12:00 PM (PST) The City of Chula Vista (City) is requesting Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for On-Call Open Space Landscape Services for various projects within the City of Chula Vista. The City is seeking Landscape Firms that can demonstrate competence and possess the necessary qualifications to perform said services at a fair and reasonable cost to the City. The City is interested at this time in receiving SOQs from interested firms with the capacity to provide Landscape services in an on-call capacity. Typical projects for which Open Space Landscape Services may be required include: o Landscape Improvements o Repair of irrigation systems o Decomposed Granite (DG) Trail Restoration/Repair o Mulching o Weed control and brush abatement services o Erosion Control Services The City anticipates awarding three to five contracts to the highest ranked firms depending on qualifications. The contracts will be for an initial period of two (2) years, and three (3) one-year City option renewal periods. Specific work will be assigned via task orders. The Contractor and City will negotiate the scope and fees for each task order on a project-by-project basis using the negotiated hourly billing rates specified in the Agreement. Actual execution of task orders will be at the sole discretion of the City. The SOQ shall be submitted in accordance with the requirement of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). A separate sealed Proposal containing schedule of fees including personnel hourly rates shall be included with the SOQ, which the City shall only open after first considering and ranking the qualifications presented by each firm. The City reserves the right to revise and/or withdraw this request at any time for any reason. An agreement between the City and the successful contractor firm(s) will be approved at a meeting of the Chula Vista City Council (2-Party Agreement Attachment). The services indicated in the agreement and related provisions are to be provided during the contract period. Contractor shall assure the City that it will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability, as well as all applicable regulations and guidelines issued pursuant to the ADA (42 U.S.C. 12101, et seq.) and Title 24.
