Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Vanderhoof, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 13,608-square-foot, two-story above grade, 20-unit municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The proposed facility for the Saikuz Family Services Programs is an All Clans House (ACH) that will include multi-purpose and community spaces dedicated to family healing and support as well as individual and shared living spaces for respite use and children and families at risk. Based on a needs analysis, such programs would translate into a 1,260 m2 facility. The new facility will be located on lots 81, 82, and 83 on Ketlo Street, adjacent to a large future park space. The site analysis and selection process are described in section 6.0 of this report. TIMELINE: Request for proposal from design consultant services, is closed. Award is pending. Further update in fall 2025, upon approvals. *The total project cost is estimated at $14,600,000 in current dollars and includes a 10% Contingency. Construction $11,135,000 Non-Construction $3,437,000.
