Project Description: A general description of the Project is:Sealed Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified Architecture/Engineering (A/E) firms will be received electronicallyThe Town of Gilbert would like to complete an arc flash hazard analysis per NFPA 70E (National Fire Protection Association Electrical Safety Training) and update personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and equipment labeling at various water and wastewater facilities throughout the town. The previous arc flash hazard analysis was completed in June of 2014, and it only included one (1) reservoir, two (2) booster sites, and sixteen (16) well sites. The analysis established the flash protection boundary around the electrical equipment and used the Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) Version 12.5.0 as the computer program. The scope of this project is to review the existing electrical system, complete an updated arc flash analysis, and relabel the sites accordingly based on the analysis results. Final project scope will be subject to further revisions as discussions with the selected Consultant and Town staff are completed. The goal is to assist the Town of Gilbert with this arc flash analysis and develop standardized software recommendations for the Town, to possibly be used every 5 years in future arc flash hazard analysis.
