The scope of work consists of the installation of one (1) new single/double circuit deadend monopole structure, one (1) new double circuit deadend monopole structure with seven (7) new spans of 1926 ACSS/TW, the removal of seven (7) existing spans of 954 ACSR, and one (1) existing single circuit monopole deadend. The existing 138kV single/double circuit line consists of steel monopole structures that support one (1)/two (2) circuits of bundled 954 ACSR "Cardinal" conductors, and one (1) 3/8 EHS shield wires. Existing wire transfer work will include 954 ACSR conductors. The new structures will be located on GP&L right-of-way. The work shall include the following One (1) new single/double circuit deadend monopole structure, one (1) new double circuit deadend monopole structure (Proposed Strs. 1/6 and 3/7). Transfer two (2) existing circuits of 954 ACSR from the Existing structure 1/5 to Proposed structure 1/6, and from Existing structure 3/6 to Proposed structure 3/7. Install seven (7) new spans of 1926 between the Centerville substation deadend to proposed Str. 1/6, and existing Str. 3/9 to proposed Str. 3/7. Remove seven (7) existing spans of 954 ACSR, as shown on the plan and profile. Install dampers on the shields and conductors as shown on the plan and profile.
