Renovation of a mixed-use development in Oglesby, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.

**As of May 6, 2025, the project is canceled. Project is no longer needed.** Pool Painting-55 Pool Drive, Oglesby, IL 61348 and is further described as follows: Pool Painting and Repair. The successful Bidder shall provide at least 50% of all labor required for the completion of this project. The Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid and be payable to the order of the City of Oglesby. Bids may be held by the City of Oglesby for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Work of the Project includes, but not limited to, blasting existing painted pool surfaces, pool pavement surface restoration, joint sealant replacement, chemical surface washing and re-painting of a 6,670 SF swimming pool and 400 SF wading pool. For bidding purposes, the Contractor shall assume 250 SF of surface patch within the main pool (walls and floor combined), and 100 LF of crack/joint repair. The existing main pool consists of stainless steel gutters that will require extensive joint repair below the water level. All loose and deteriorated joint material shall be replaced as directed by the Engineer. Exact amount and requirement of repair will be discussed and determined at the pre-bid meeting. There are two locations within the main pool that have stainless steel corner covers mechanically fastened to the walls. The entire perimeter edge of each of these cover panels shall be completely inspected, repaired if necessary, and sealed with approved sealant. They must be made to prevent further water penetration. This situation will also be discussed and inspected further on-site duringthe pre-bid. Contractor shall inspect all floor drains, gutter connections / welds, and gutter drains for damage or repair. If repair is required, the Contractor shall meet with the Engineer to discuss the proper action and prepare the necessary change order for approval.
