The recent changes in the seasonal rain patterns and intensity, several of city’s parking garages have experienced water intrusions in the subterranean portions of the buildings. The City wishes to prequalify experienced contractors in the field of waterproofing to address these deficiencies in multiple structures. Scope of work without limitation, includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to provide curtain wall injections and crack repairs on perimeter walls, elevator pits and other areas unique to each structure. A contractor (B and D-51 licenses) is the prime contractor for this project, and the contractor will need to subcontract with the appropriate contractors for a turnkey project. A 10% bidder’s security or bid bond will be required to bid on the projects, and the selected lowest responsible bidder will be required to provide 100% performance & payment bonds. Note that bonds do not need to be submitted with this prequalification package. The CITY reserves the right to adjust, increase, limit, suspend or rescind the prequalification rating based on subsequently learned information. Contractors whose rating changes sufficiently to disqualify them will be notified, and given an opportunity for a hearing consistent with the hearing procedures described below for appealing a prequalification rating.
