Project is no longer needed.** Reference Number 0000379731 Bid Intent Not Available Job Location: Various Streets within Canon City Limits Contract for installation of pavement markings on several city streets. Freight and delivery schedule: Items, supplies, equipment, and materials shall be delivered or shipped to the final location of installation, unless otherwise indicated in Purchase Order or Contract; and shipped items, supplies or materials are the responsibility of the bidder until received and accepted by the City. The project manager for this contract will be Leo Evans, DPW Director. Work shall include all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to apply new high quality longitudinal pavement markings on several city streets as outlined in the bidding documents. All work shall be conducted in accordance with Section 627 of the 2023 CDOT Standard Specifications for Construction and the CDOT Pavement Marking Practice Guide (2020 Edition). All pavement marking layout and necessary traffic control will be the Contractor responsibility and is considered incidental. All work shall be constructed under traffic unless otherwise noted in the Contractor provided bid documents and accepted by the City. All roadways shall maintain the existing striping layout and lane configurations, except that Harding Avenue between 9th and 15th shall eliminate the two short segments of passing zone and maintain a double solid yellow through the corridor. Water blasting to fully remove the existing markings from all segments is required and considered incidental. Bids will be for the replacement of existing yellow and white longitudinal lines only. No special markings are included in the bid. No parking stall or curb painting is included in the bid. Materials allowed shall be either Modified Epoxy, Polyurea, or Methyl Methacrylate. All products shall be applied at the CDOT specified rates and shall include the specified glass beads. All products shall be from the CDOT approved products list. Bidders shall indicate which product they intend to use on the supplied bid forms. Bidders are encouraged to review the project sites to gain an understanding of the existing conditions and the operational requirements of completing the specified work. Segment #1 (Main Street) shall be completed no later than April 25th, 2025. The remaining segments shall be completed no later than June 30th, 2025.
