Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; municipal facility; and water / sewer project.

This project will take place at Lincoln Park Zoo located at 1215 North 8th Street, Manitowoc, WI and will consist of: Demolition of vacant zoo exhibit fencing, small structures, clearing and grubbing. Regrading and restoration of the area for stormwater management purposes including an expanded wetland area, stormwater swale, and native vegetation. Manufacturing and installation of boardwalk. Installation of chain-link fencing and gates, concrete sidewalk, concrete box culvert, water lines, rip-rap, landscaping plantings, and vegetated retaining walls. Alternate bids will include full installation of the boardwalk and additional fencing Contractors with 5-years of experience in wetland work and reconstruction. Additionally, manufacturers with 5-years of experience in boardwalk construction and successful installations within wetland areas. This project anticipates use of funds related to the Fund for Lake Michigan and Wisconsin Coastal Management Program. The Contractor shall conform to the statutory requirements known as "Build America, Buy America" which applies to all of the iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project. Bid Proposals may be denied if the requirements of this section are not met and waivers are required. Note: This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) Wage Rates. A Bid Bond or Surety 2000 in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each proposal as a guaranty.
