Site work for a water / sewer project in Sarasota, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Bank erosion is threatening the stability of some private homes, and the kayak launch (behind P.F. Chang's) itself is unusable. Like the recently completed kayak launch project near Publix on US 41, this initiative crosses city, county, and state jurisdictions, and requires coordinated focus to get done. The public benefits of this are improved stormwater management to minimize harmful nutrients in our bay and estuaries. As of February 24, 2025, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer has not been selected. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. This project is included in the City of Sarasota's FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
