Mendon HS Stadium Toilet Room Building a. All Site Work bidders shall visit the site to verify and review existing conditions before estimating the cost of the project. In addition, they shall thoroughly review all geo-technical information on the site. b. GENERAL CLARIFICATION: The Site Contractor is responsible for specific site work for this project as detailed below: 1. Sutherland High School Temporary Access Road 2. Sutherland High School New Tennis Courts/ ADA Path 3. Sutherland High School Old Tennis Courts to Pickleball Courts Conversion 4. Sutherland High School Baseball Field Drainage 5. Sutherland High School Softball Field Drainage 6. Mendon High School Tennis Courts 7. Mendon High School Baseball Field Drainage 8. Barker Road Middle School District Office Parking Lot (off District Office Entrance) 9. Barker Road Middle School D-Zone/ ADA Path c. The Site Work Contractor is responsible to provide all required closeout documentation including reports of legal disposal of all debris removed off site. Site Work Contractor shall provide the District and Architect with a written agreement and stipulated legal compliance to properly dispose of material off site. d. The Site Work Contractor is responsible for offsite disposal of unsuitable spoil resulting from the excavation work. e. Review Section 011215 for Project Schedule for work of this contract. f. Review Section 012100 for Allowances for work of this contract. g. Review Section 012200 for Unit Pricing for work of this contract. h. Review Section 012300 for Alternates for work of this contract. i. Review Section 015000 for Temporary Construction for work of this contract. j. The Site Work Contract includes all site demolition such as utilities, paving, fencing, trees, shrubs, landscaping, etc....and offsite legal disposal, including its own dumpsters and the protection and maintenance of all existing utilities throughout construction, including those to be relocated or replaced. k. Site Utility Installation is the responsibility of site contractor and starts 5' outside of each building. The Site Work Contractor shall coordinate final connections with the Plumbing Contractor. Where utilities run parallel to the building on the exterior it is the intent that the Site Work Contractor will take these utilities from the other prime contractors at the point where the utility exits the building and complete the installation and shall make connections from where other primes stopped at 5 feet outside building. The Site Contractor shall employ the professional services of an acceptable utility locator to find all underground district utilities and public utilities and mark the site accordingly and identify on as built documents. l. The Site Work Contractor is responsible for offsite disposal of unsuitable spoil resulting from the excavation work. m. The Site Work Contractor is responsible for all site demolition, fence work, paving and concrete work. n. All Contractors are responsible for dewatering for the work of their Contract. o. Where shown on the Contract Drawings, this contract will relocate existing plantings to temporary locations and relocate again to final location. Maintenance and care is the responsibility of this contract. It will be the responsibility of this Contract to replace plantings that die or become discolored/damaged with healthy plants of the same kind and size. p. Dust control and SWPPP installation measures along with maintenance is the responsibility of the Site Work Contractor throughout the duration of the construction project including the supply of water used for dust control. q. Roads, temporary and permanent, need to be cleaned and maintained on a continuous basis. Keep roads clean of mud and debris for work of this contract. This includes but is not limited to scraping, sweeping, and washing. No materials to be tracked off site. If materials are tracked off site, it shall be cleaned up immediately. r. Wherever construction activities take place that are the responsibility of this prime contract, the Site Work Contractor is to provide six-foot post driven temporary construction fencing for the duration of the entire project, separating the construction site from all other areas of activity (i.e. residential neighborhood, school activities, existing sidewalks, roadways, buildings, staging areas, fencing around construction areas etc. Reference the Site Safety and Logistics Plans for each building site for temporary construction/safety fencing layout. s. The Site Work Contractor is responsible for preparing the site as shown on the Site Safety and Logistics Plans at each building site pertaining to Site Work. This includes installation of, maintenance of, and removal/restoration at the end of the project of all fencing, temporary walkways, roadways, roadway barriers, pavement markings, staging areas, access roads, temporary trailer areas etc. associated with their contract work. t. All Contractors shall provide any and all temporary shoring, bracing, support, or protection systems necessary to expedite their work requirements, including the maintenance of workers safety and compliance with OSHA safety regulations. u. All Prime Contractors are required to clean their own work area at the end of each workday. v. All Site Furnishings such as planting urns, benches, tree grates, etc. are the responsibility of Site Work Contractor. w. The Site Work Contractor is responsible to provide all trees, shrubs, ground cover, mulch and all other landscape plantings for all areas outside and as indicated on the contract drawings. x. All Traffic Control Devices are the responsibility of the Site Work Contractor. y. All yard hydrants and connection of are the responsibility of the Site Work Contractor. z. At all fencing located in pavement the contractor shall install fence posts and foundations prior to installation of the top course of paving. aa. The Site Work Contractor is required to engage a land surveyor registered and licensed in the state of New York to establish and maintain sufficient property, benchmarks, and easement lines locations as well as locations, elevations and grades for construction of all site work components required for the work of this contract. All information is to be clearly marked for identification and use by other trades. bb. All permitting required for curb cuts on public streets or rights of way is the cc. responsibility of the Site Work Contractor including any fees or additional bonding required by the permit agency. dd. Site Work Contractor shall provide locating services to locate all private and public utilities prior to excavation for the scope of its work. ee. The Site Contractor shall maintain traffic and is solely responsible for safety throughout the length and duration of their work at work sites identified in "b" above. Coordinate with Construction Manager and Owner for locations of signs, cones, and flag-persons as necessary to maintain proper traffic control for the duration of this project. The Site Contractor is required to implement the use of temporary traffic control signals if necessary. ff. The Site Contractor shall maintain at least one lane of traffic open. The minimum width shall be 12'. gg. All mud removal, snow removal, plowing, salting as necessary to ensure a safe and unhindered work site is the responsibility of the Site Contractor, unless noted otherwise. The Site Contractor is responsible for all snow removal and maintenance at / for any site work not substantially complete, including but limited to: sidewalks, parking areas, and access roads as identified in "b" above.
