CCSO Marco Sub-station Building Replacement Project located in Collier County, Florida, The CCSO Marco Sub-Station is located at 990 N Barfield Dr, Marco Island, Florida. The existing one-story buildingwas damaged during Hurricane Ian in 2022. A substantial damage determination was performed and concluded that the existing structure needs to be demolished. The replacement of the Cedar Waterway seawall was completed in July 2024. The replacement seawall top of cap elevation is 5.5' NAVD The new 5,289 sq-ft two-story CCSO Marco Sub-Station building will be constructed to meet the needs of the Sheriff's Department. The first floor will feature enclosed storage areas, restrooms, vestibule with elevator and non-enclosed covered parking. The second floor will serve as the primary level and house offices, restrooms and various support areas. A new parking layout and hardscape maneuvering area will be constructed, including a new stormwater management system. Three temporary trailers (Construction, Sheriff's and Storage) will be provided by the Contractor during construction. The existing marina pictured above is to remain operational (Including utilities) during construction. It is possible that a new floating dock in front of the adjacent City plant accessed from the 990 N Barfield property will be installed by a marine contractor contracted by the County during construction of the new facility.
