The City of Kingston, New York is seeking proposals from qualified respondents to provide camera and Wi-Fi installation and maintenance for the Information Technology Department. The selected firm will work primarily with the Office of Information Technology to verify camera positioning and network connectivity during the installation process. The project will consist of replacing 30 cameras at 30 different locations (1 camera per location) and maintaining approximately 300 cameras at 50 different locations throughout the City. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Contract term: Five year contract with the opportunity for annual renewal up to two years. The following outlines the required tasks associated with this RFP. 2.0- The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: o Installation of cameras and Wi-Fi equipment on utility poles, buildings, and other elevated or hard-to-access structures. Some locations may require a bucket truck, while others may be accessible with ladders. o Ensuring proper alignment, configuration, and testing of installed equipment to guarantee optimal functionality. This includes working directly with the IT Department to verify camera positioning and network connectivity during the installation process. o Securing all wiring and equipment in a manner that minimizes the risk of damage, theft, or interference. o Providing detailed documentation of all installations, including locations, equipment serial numbers, and configuration settings. o Conducting periodic maintenance or troubleshooting as required. o Offerors must describe their relative experience with similar projects, including references and examples of past work, to demonstrate their capability to fulfill these requirements The award term will commence on or about April 2025 and end on or about December 31, 2030, with the opportunity for annual renewal up to 2 years. The successful Respondent will execute a contract with the City of Kingston in substantial conformance with both this RFP and the City of Kingston Agreement for Professional Services. The City of Kingston reserves the right to consider alternatives that are submitted by Respondents and that provide enhancements beyond the RFP requirements. Proposal alternatives may be considered if deemed to be in the best interest of the City. Respondents will clearly identify and explain in detail where such alternatives deviate from, or qualify the terms of, the proposal and specifications as issued.
