Custodial and Janitorial Services for Albany Water Department Any questions should be ONLY emailed to Commissioner Joseph Coffey and Raisi K. Mobele, Esq. at jcoffey@albanyny.gov or rmobele@albanyny.gov no later than Wednesday, February 26, 2025. All answers to questions will be provided via an addendum on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at online. The work required by this contract includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and supervision necessary for complete custodial services. Water, electricity, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, toilet seat protectors, and cleaning supplies will be furnished to the vendor by the City. It is understood that in addition to the below services listed, all tasks incidental to cleaning functions, not specifically listed but normally included in general custodial practices, will be provided for the fees agreed to and included in a subsequent contract between the Parties. The City of Albany Water Department will provide all cleaning supplies and paper/ plastic products therefore bidders should only provide pricing for labor, equipment, and periodic supervision to ensure quality standards. A bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount may be required with each bid. If either of these are required, the certified check or bid bond will be returned upon the awarding of the bid. Award to contract will be made only to the lowest responsible bidder, whose proposal shall comply with all the terms and provisions of this Bid Packet required to make it responsive. CONTRACT PERIOD: Execution of Contract through December 31, 2025 with three (3) one-year (1) extensions available. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bid submissions, and may advertise for new bid submissions for the same contract or project, if in so doing the best interests of the City will be promoted. The bidder shall be prepared if requested by the City to present evidence of experience, ability, and financial standing, as well as a statement as to plant, machinery, and equipment.
