Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Traverse City, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Minutes of the bidders information meeting will be forwarded to all plan holders as an addendum. SCOPE OF PROJECT The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: Package A: Construction of the Rental Car Ready Parking Lot Expansion, including site removals, utilities, earthwork, aggregate base construction, hot mix asphalt paving, lighting, signage, and pavement marking. Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration. Package B: Construction of a Cell Phone Parking Lot, including earthwork, aggregate base construction, hot mix asphalt paving, lighting and signage. Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS Prime contractor shall be MDOT Prequalified under the designated item classifications "Ea", "Cb", or "L". If the prime contractor is not prequalified in the designated item classification(s), then it must use a subcontractor that is prequalified in such classification(s). EXAMINATION OF SPECIFICATIONS Contract documents may be examined online at website or at the offices of: Northwest Regional Airport Authority, 727 Fly Don't Drive, Traverse City, MI 49686 Prein&Newhof, 990 Garfield Woods Drive, Suite A, Traverse City, MI 49686 Prein&Newhof, 3355 Evergreen Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 And some local plan rooms. Drawings and specifications are available online at website or at the 990 Garfield Woods Drive, Suite A, Traverse City, MI 49686 office of Prein&Newhof after 12:00 PM, Monday, February 24, 2025. Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible/available only to those Bidders who are active members of the Prein&Newhof Plan Room. Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof. FUNDING The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for by funds received from the Northwest Regional Airport Authority (100% local). BID SURETY A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Northwest Regional Airport Authority in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of sixty (60) days after the receipt of bids. DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) Northwest Regional Airport Authority encourages and solicits participation of qualified minority and women businesses consistent with the principle of utilizing the most highly qualified and competitive firms. RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least ninety (90) days thereafter. COMPLETION DATE The project shall be substantially completed by May 23, 2025. Award is anticipated to occur on March 18, 2025.
