o Receive existing preliminary design plans and specifications and document files for SLS #1 previously prepared by HDR Engineering. o The City is currently in the process of acquiring 44449 S. El Macero Drive for the new lift station site. o Prepare design plan sheets for SLS #1 at the selected site. The lift station elements previously designed shall be utilized in the re-design but may be rotated, aligned or adjusted as needed to fit on the selected site. o Design additional pipelines, force mains, maintenance holes, equipment, vaults, structures, etc. as needed for placement of the lift station at the selected site. o Modify existing preliminary designed lift station, wet well, valves, pipelines, force main elevations and grades for placement of the lift station at the selected site. Perform any surveying necessary for design at the selected site. o Design the valve vault with the capability to connect to an interim 14" force main for current operations and to a future 12" force main. o Perform any additional environmental, biological or geotechnical investigations on the selected site to support the design Include improvements for emergency and bypassing operations. Design a bypass valve connection to be situated within the valve vault, meter vault or new vault, if needed. o Include previously designed motor control center, electrical and instrumentation and any modifications necessary to provide a fully operation lift station. o Include previously designed improvements to reduce H2S (odor control). o Include any new safety and maintenance improvements not previously designed. o Design site improvements for selected site location including hardscape, landscaping, fencing, walls, gates, structures, etc. o Prepare specifications and construction cost estimates at the 60%, 90%, and 100% construction documents. o Provide bidding assistance, including site walks and responding to bidder questions.
