SLCo is soliciting bids for commercial grade fire and security alarm system materials and services to equip, maintain, and upgrade existing systems throughout County buildings and structures. Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement, on behalf of Salt Lake County Facilities Services (County), invites your company to bid on providing commercial grade fire and security alarm system materials and services to equip, maintain, and upgrade existing systems throughout County buildings and structures. County has specific brands standardized throughout county, only the brands specified on the price schedule will be considered. Include an hourly service rate, in the event services for specific work are required. Since fire and security systems are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of building occupants, timely delivery of materials and services is critical, therefore, awarded suppliers must be located within 25 miles of Salt Lake County. In the event materials are out of stock, parts must be shipped to County overnight at supplier's expense. County will not pay for expedited shipping as part of the resulting contract from this solicitation. The maximum response time for service calls identified as emergencies is eight (8) hours. All other service calls are 24 hours. County will not pay more than 1-1/2 times the contracted service rate for after hours, weekends or holiday work. Work hours are considered Monday thru Friday from 8am until 6pm. The contract(s) resulting from this solicitation will become effective upon contract execution with a five (5) year term. The County reserves the right to review the contract(s) on a regular basis regarding performance and cost analysis and may negotiate price and service elements during the term of the contract(s).
