The East Haven Department of Recreation seeks competitive Bids for the construction of two (2) additional bocce courts, to be completed by May 1, 2025. The new courts are to be constructed across the street from the existing courts, which are adjacent to the Town Beach House at 80-4 Cosey Beach Avenue, East Haven. In order to expedite the start date, a site visit will not be required. However, Bidders are encouraged to visit the two (2) existing courts at 80-4 Cosey Beach Avenue. Take note that the framing for the new courts has changed to specify the use of 6 x 6 timbers. Any questions regarding the specifications may be directed, in writing only, to Liz Franco-Spano, Director of Recreation at efranco-spano@easthaven-ct.gov with a copy to Joan Fain, Purchasing Agent at jfain@easthaven-ct.gov. Delivery of materials is expected to be completed by March 31st, 2025. Each Bidder is required to submit their original Bid plus one (1) copy, in a sealed envelope, labelled with return address, bid number, bid title, date and time of opening. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to ensure that their Bid is received by the proper authority prior to the Bid Opening time. No Bidder may withdraw their proposal within thirty (30) days of the date of the Bid Opening. Each Bidder is required to honor the Bid price for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days from the Bid Opening date, without modification. The awarded Bidder shall be bound by the Bid Proposal price throughout the contract period. Minority and female owned companies are invited to participate, afforded full opportunity to submit proposals, and encouraged to do so.
