Renovation of a mixed-use development in Batavia, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade, 11-unit multi-residential development; and 16-room hospitality development.
As of August 21, 2025, a developer has not been selected as of yet. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Batavia, in cooperation with the Batavia Development Corporation (BDC), is seeking redevelopment proposals for the historic Brisbane Mansion, located at 10 West Main Street, near the intersection of NY State routes 5 and 63. At the end of 2025 the former City Hall and Police Station will be vacant, which will offer an incredible opportunity to redevelop a very visible landmark adjacent to the City’s emerging and vibrant downtown district. A recent building reuse analysis suggested that the two-story building with more than 11,000 sq. ft. of space could accommodate eleven market rate apartments or sixteen boutique hotel rooms. More than 30,000 vehicles pass the site daily, which is one of the highest traffic counts in Western New York.
