Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Shawano, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

A. The project is the remodeling and addition to the existing 12,066 square foot Shawano Recreation Center. When completed, the Recreation Center will total 17,711 square feet in size with new and upgrade amenities. o Approximately 4,800 square feet of the existing building will be remodeled which includes: o New Men's Locker Room o New Women's Locker Room o New Family Family Changing Room o New Reception Desk and Check-In o Existing Corridor Interior Finish Upgrades o The New Additions are Approximately 7,500 square feet in size and includes: o A New Classroom for Computer Training o A New Tech Center o Four New Administrative Offices o New Exercise Room with 24/7 Access o A New Gathering Space for Community Gatherings and Computer Stations o Exterior Improvements that include Two Outdoor Seating Areas and Playground Equipment o New Public Toilet Rooms o New Fire Suppression System o New HVAC System o New and Upgraded Lighting and Electrical System. B. Total Renovation o Except for the existing pool space, the entire facility will be renovated to meet current building codes, interior finishes will be modernized, and overall improvement with the interior circulation. C. Building Site Development o Two New Seating Areas for Community Gathering and Reading Areas. o New Playground Equipment with Safety Ground Surface. o New Green Space is being provided with Shrubs and Trees o New Parking and Paved Walkways o With the New Additions, the Building Facade will be Enhanced D. The project will Improve the Site Accessibility and will provide a new and larger entry with Canopy. Each bidder must deposit with his/her bid, an amount to secure the bid and subject to the conditions provided in the information for bidders, in accordance with bidding requirements set forth in Wis.Stats. 66.0901 and 62.15. The contract shall be subject to the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (CWHSSA), 40 U.S.C. 3702 and 3704, and DOL (29 CFR Part 5); Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); and fair labor practices and wage standards for the program under which the contract is funded, and subject to the federal and state equal opportunity provisions, as specified in the bid packet. Small businesses, minority-owned and women-owned business enterprises (MBEs, WBEs), disabled veteran-owned businesses (DVBs), and firms in labor surplus markets are encouraged to participate in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the date of the opening thereof.
