The contractor will be responsible for loading, hauling and spreading of road gravel for 2025 Contractor shall supply loader, trucks, trailers, fuel, labour and all other equipment Municipality is not liable for moving or set-up costs; Coordination of the gravel hauling is to be done through the Municipalities Council Contractor agrees that the sub-contracting of gravel hauling may only be done with the approval of the Municipality Municipality will retain the right to determine the amount of gravel spread Municipality may suspend gravel hauling and spreading at any time due to adverse road or weather conditions or unsatisfactory performance by the contractor Gravel will be supplied by the Municipality from one or all of the Municipalities stockpiles. Stockpiles are located within the Municipality's boundaries. All hauling distances are to be calculated by the shortest direct haul from the stockpile to the destination, unless otherwise approved by Council. The contractor will be required to abide by a speed limit of 60km/hour while loaded, reduce speed while meeting oncoming traffic and while passing yard sites. Hauling will be on an as needed basis, as deemed necessary by Council, and will commence May 1st, 2025 and conclude on or before September 30th, 2025, depending on weather conditions. The Municipality has the right to refuse any or all tenders, and the lowest tender will not necessarily be accepted.
